Over the years, Susie and I have had several very enjoyable trips to Spruce Creek by ourselves, but this past April for the first time, we asked three other couples to join us for a long weekend of fishing, good food and company. I had an incredible day of fishing at Brookside. The water was up somewhere around 8”-10” above normal, and the fish hit nymphs all day long. I caught many hogs, mostly rainbows in the 17-20” range. Also landed a native brown of about 19’ that was absolutely beautiful. I love this piece of water. - Ed Karlik
