ATMOSPHERE AT HOMEWATERS
Retreats at HomeWaters, like families and businesses, come in many shapes and sizes. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway for two, entertaining an important client, or looking for a place to gather the entire family for a reunion (anniversary...or birthday), HomeWaters staff can help you plan a retreat that will create memories for a lifetime.
Catching your first fish on a fly, shooting sporting clays for the first time, or closing a big business deal while sitting around a campfire after a rewarding day in the outdoors. These stories and memories are repeated again and again at HomeWaters.
FAMILY RETREATS
Think back to when you were a kid. What are your happiest family memories? If you are older than 50, I’ll bet your best family memories were not from being entertained at over-contrived theme parks or crowded ski mountains or fancy fake resorts with heated pools. No way.
Roasting vanilla-bean marshmallows over a campfire for gourmet s’mores after fishing an unbelievable Grannom Caddis hatch, watching the sunrise over the ridge as you and your guide quietly listen for the morning’s first gobble, or teaching your grandson how to track a shotgun to blast his very first clay pigeon…this is what outdoor adventures are like at HomeWaters. It all takes place along Pennsylvania’s clear, running streams, hidden mountain gaps and gently rolling fields.
At HomeWaters there is no such thing as a pre-built, one-size fits all retreat package. Every retreat is customized to fit your exact wishes and needs. Allow our team to help you design the perfect retreat for you and your family, today.
All this at HomeWaters… in the mountains…less than half a day drive from New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Baltimore, Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
BUSINESS RETREATS
HomeWaters members and guests have become accustomed to landing “the big one.” But for some, the big one has come to mean the big business deal, the big client, or hosting a world-class, business meeting or sales presentation. Businesses have taken advantage of HomeWaters unique outdoor-oriented environment that may seem so far away, but is surprisingly close to where they live, work and play.
Over the years we have noticed our guests mixing a little business with a LOT of pleasure. It’s a great place to entertain clients, say thanks to fellow employees or hold a strategic planning session or Board meeting.
What a different and engaging environment for raising expectations, lowering objections, opening minds, or closing deals. Besides our gorgeous lodge-based meeting areas, we also feature two additional unique meeting areas. First is our 150 year-old Espy Farm barn. This facility can accommodate groups of up to 40 people.
And then we feature mankind’s oldest information sharing site – the campfire. Experts have said that the campfire exerts a strong pre-conscious attraction, more today than ever. When communication requires a strong element of trust, we instinctively seek out the key cultural markers of a campfire environment: light, warmth, & food. Our guests concur, as we’ve heard countless tales of more being accomplished around the campfire, than all day in structured meetings.
