After years of listening to our members discuss their various “Bucket List” fishing trips, we launched a program allowing HomeWaters members to create lifelong memories together while exploring the world or other fisheries.
HomeWaters has two trips for members on the calendar in 2019.
JANUARY 20-27, 2019
The South Island of New Zealand is well known for its big brown trout. Owen River Lodge is located in the Murchison/Nelson Lakes region of the South Island, which many say is the best sighted brown trout fishery in the world.
JULY 20-26, 2019
Rainbow River Lodge is situated on the Copper River in the Bristol Bay Region of Alaska. Guests will fly out daily on one of the lodges planes to one of more than 30 rivers in the area. This trip was chosen for the variety it offers. On any given day guests can choose to fish for trophy sized rainbows the area is famous for, one of four different salmon species, char, grayling, pike, or sea run dolly varden.
In March 2014 HomeWaters sponsored its first hosted trip to a permit and tarpon lodge in southern Belize, returning annually the next four years. In 2017, we began expanding the program with trips to Crooked Island (bonefish and permit) in November 2017, and Argentina (trout) in February 2018.
In addition to great fishing experiences, these trips have promoted camaraderie and created friendships amongst members. We plan to continue to provide members the opportunity to travel to great fly fishing destinations around the world, hosted by HomeWaters staff.
