The Colors of Fall Fishing

While I’m guiding (and fishing on my own personal time), I can’t help but notice how surreal the scenery currently is in Central Pennsylvania.

Although serious arguments could be made for each season, I have been recently reminded that fishing during the fall is one of the most beautiful times of the year to be on the water. The vibrant colors appearing as the leaves change are accompanied by the vibrant colors of the trout.

Fall foliage can only be rivaled by the beautiful red and orange hues that show up on trout in the fall due to spawning. In this area of Central Pennsylvania, we are incredibly lucky to have both. No matter how the fishing turns out, it’s a true gift to spend the day on the water with the vibrant fall colors and comfortable fall weather. I would encourage any angler to take advantage of the fall fishing conditions as much as possible.

Rather than ramble on any longer, enjoy some of the photos I’ve taken over the last few days.
