HomeWaters: Project Healing Waters

Here at HomeWaters this week, we were happy to host a group from Project Healing Waters for two days of fly fishing.

For those of you that do not already know, Project Healing Waters mission “is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities including education and outings.”

This event marked the 12th year that a group of veterans from Project Healing Waters have come to HomeWaters for a fly fishing event. It was a fun two days for all of those, which involved a lot of  smiles and fish.

It’s been a pleasure to experience firsthand how much of a positive impact a great organization like Project Healing Waters is able to make. Thank you to everyone on the HomeWaters staff and members that have been generous with their support.

Each year we look forward to sharing our passion on the water with those from Project Healing Waters. These events serve a strong reminder of how fly fishing can be therapeutic in many ways for anglers from many different backgrounds.

This fall we have several charity fly fishing tournaments scheduled with availability left that support Project Healing Waters and other similar organizations.

If you would be interested in attending a fun fly fishing competition that will help support a great cause,  talk to Mike Harpster for all the dates and details.

Again, thank you!
