Smallmouth Float Trips are in Full Swing

Smallmouth Float Trips are in Full Swing

Over the last couple months, Andy and I have been in full smallmouth mode when it comes to guiding and our own personal fishing. Between the two of us, our boats were in the water nearly everyday so far this summer.

This summer continues to fish really well and is presenting anglers with the best opportunity to smallmouth fish that we have seen since 2017. The trend in rain that our area had been experiencing over the last year and a half has faded away, leaving water levels right around average for this time of year. With the river in great shape, we are experiencing great fishing in terms of the size and numbers of fish being caught with both spinning and fly rods.

Here are a few pictures from recent guide trips at the club this summer. It’s been a lot of fun so far, but there is still a lot of good fishing ahead of us on the river for this year. If you want to get in on the smallmouth action, book your float trip between now and the end of September. We’ll see you on the water!
